About The Brahmatal Trek

The Brahmatal Trek is well-known among hikers from all over the world and is situated approximately 12,000 feet above sea level in the Himalayas. The Brahmatal Trek is one of the most popular treks in the world because it offers a thrilling mix of difficult paths and breathtaking beauty. This journey, which is hidden in the majestic Himalayas and is covered in several metres of snow, provides some of the region’s most beautiful views.

The Brahmatal Trek includes magnificent scenery, rich woods, and expansive views of the Himalayas in addition to its rough and varied terrain. This walk, which spans 22 kilometres, gains even more notoriety during the winter months when the entire area is blanketed in a thick layer of white snow. You eventually reach the frozen Brahmatal Lake and Brahmatal Peak after finishing the journey.

How can I go to the Brahmatal Trek?

The brahmatal trek package is situated in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal area. The Kathgodam Station, one of the major stations in the area and a rather old one, is the best place to start the trip. All of India’s major cities, including Kolkata, New Delhi, Lucknow, and others, are easily reachable from the station.

In addition, air travel is an option for getting to Kathgodam. The Pantnagar Airport, which is around 70 kilometres from Kathgodam and is reachable from most of India’s main cities, is the closest airport.

You can also use the regular bus services that run between ISBT Delhi (Anand Vihar Bus Station) and Kathgodam. Most buses that travel to Nainital typically halt in Haldwani, which

The Best Time to Travel to Brahmatal Trek

The winter months of November through February are the ideal time to go on the Brahmatal Trek. This season offers some of the most beautiful sunrise and sunset vistas, making it a fantastic time for hiking in a cover of white snow.

Additionally, this is the time of year to experience the most breathtaking views of the ice-capped summits of Nanda Ghunta, Mount Trishul, the Jatropani Mountain, and Kamet, the second-highest peak in the Garhwal range. While trekking on a clear winter night, one can experience some of the most spectacular views of the galaxy and the clear starry sky, which are otherwise rather challenging.

Height Points

The Brahmatal Trip is sometimes referred to as a moderately challenging trek because of its different elevations. The Brahmatal Trek begins at Kathgodam, which is located at an elevation of 1,483 feet, with Lohajung serving as the trek’s base camp, and offers hikers some of the most crystal-clear and beautiful views of Mount Trishul and Nanda Ghunti. The entire trip from Kathgodam to the base camp is fairly scenic, with mesmerising views of several Himalayan peaks. Lohajung is located at 7,600 feet.

Following Lohajung, the next height point is Bekaltal, which has a moderate ascent and is situated at an elevation of 9,885 feet above sea level.

Trek Brahmatal Difficulty

The brahmatal trek height takes 5 to 6 days to complete and travels more than 20 kilometres. This beautiful hike takes hikers through forests, lakes, and meadows as they ascend the mountain. Since the entire trip is conveniently and comfortably spread out over several days, the hike is somewhat challenging.

The paths also feature a few severe ascents at higher altitudes, although most ascents are gentle and gradual. Additionally, there are fewer chances that someone will experience altitude sickness because a big portion of the walk is within woodland. The Brahmatal Trek is nothing short of amazing, including activities like stargazing, forest walks, lakeside camping, and seeing vibrantly coloured flowers.
